L’administratrice adjointe Isobel Coleman est arrivée en Haïti
L’administratrice adjointe de l’Agence américaine pour le développement international (USAID), Isobel Coleman, est arrivée aujourd’hui à Port-au-Prince, Haïti. Au cours de sa visite de deux jours, l’administratrice adjointe soulignera comment l’USAID travaille pour aider à atténuer les besoins humanitaires, combattre le choléra et faire progresser la démocratie et la stabilité économique en Haïti.
Elle rencontrera des officiels du gouvernement haïtien et des Nations Unies, ainsi que le personnel local et des partenaires pour discuter de l’aggravation des crises en Haïti, notamment la crise politique actuelle, la dégradation des conditions de sécurité, la détérioration des conditions humanitaires et l’épidémie de choléra présente dans le pays.
Les conversations permettront également d’explorer la manière dont les États-Unis peuvent travailler avec des partenaires locaux en Haïti pour promouvoir une gouvernance réceptive et responsable, comme prévu dans le cadre de la stratégie décennale des États-Unis pour prévenir les conflits et promouvoir la stabilité.
